The 31st annual VCA Walk for the Animals is March 6, 2021.  This year the event may look a bit different, but the goal is still the same…raise funds to help the Humane Society of Broward County continue their mission of helping animals and offering amazing educational programs for people of all ages.

This year the walk will be virtual which means you can live anywhere on our great planet and take part!  The walk has always been the shelter’s largest fundraiser, and while we won’t be walking in downtown Fort Lauderdale this year, the walk committee hopes you’ll still raise funds and walk in your neighborhood on March 6, 2021 or stay home (maybe in bed)  - but still help gather donations to help the HSBC.  Set up your walk page on line at www.walk4theanimals.com and email it out.  Raise $150 and get the official walk t-shirt – we will mail them to participants outside of the state.  Walk participants who gather more donations will receive gifts for different fundraising levels reached.  For those who raise $1,000 or more, your dog will be entered into a contest for a chance to be the 2022 Walk Cover Dog.  The 2021 Cover Dog is Lily, an 11-year-old Shih-tzu and shelter alumni who resides in Davie with her mom Janet.
