Women are their own worst critics. Compounded with the external pressures of a society that values superficial beauty and bodily perfection above all else, it is easy to see how difficult it is for women to reveal their true selves.
Over a period of 15 months, Elizabeth has photographed over 150 women of all sizes, shapes, and ages; women of every race, religion and sexual orientation. Friends, families and multiple generations, all suffering from one extend to another with issues of self-esteem, self-image or even self-hate.
Leave your judgments, your bias, and your preconceived notions of what “beauty” is at the door. Join us at the opening reception of “Self Revealed: the Naked Project” on February 27, 2016. Come celebrate the courage of these women to bare both body and soul and take a monumental step forward in self-enlightenment.
Doors open to the public from 6:00 pm until 9:00pm.
