My excitement for Florida, are the gorgeous bright colors and the breathtaking sunrise on the beach. The tranquility and the power of nature keep my mind alert and creative.” – Trudy Kubler
Trudy was born in Schweinfurt, Germany in 1935. Schweinfurt had the biggest ball-bearing manufacturing city in Germany. Growing up, “Art” was not the most important activity for her. In 1978 she came to the United States with “bicycle ball bearings” on my mind.
It was in Darien, Connecticut in 1979, when Trudy’s enthusiasm for putting color on canvas started. Many visits to museums, art galleries, and art shows in New York and other places fueled her creativity and ignited her desire for self-expression. Soon, Trudy started to attend workshops and classes specializing in oil painting. She focused on classes that taught her how to draw, to understand color and the elements of design.
In 1983, she moved to the beautiful city of Savannah, GA. Impressed with and inspired by the way of life, the old oak trees, full of Spanish moss, the Moon-River, and the spectacular sunsets; she registered and started studying at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
The beauty of South Florida has motivated Trudy to create 21st Century modern art to fit our time. She creates art for small spaces where a focal point is needed to ground a room visually. A focal point is important; it unites the room and draws your attention.
Trudy shares her contemporary impressionistic vision with clients in South Florida, international art collectors and art enthusiasts.
