The City of Fort Lauderdale Parks & Recreation Department, through a funding grant from the Beach Business Improvement District, is pleased to launch its new Live Music Series, Friday Night Sound Waves, featuring some of South Florida’s best musical talents performing an eclectic range of genres including jazz, blues, big band swing, indie rock, salsa and classic Americana.
Set against the magnificent backdrop of Fort Lauderdale Beach, the Friday Night Sound Waves Summer Music Series takes place every Friday night from 5:30 – 8:30pm, June 5 through August 7, at the Fort Lauderdale Beach Hub located at Las Olas and A1A.
Performing a range of 50’s Motown, 60‘s Classic Rock and 70’s Disco Inferno, the Fabulons hit all the high notes for a night of nostalgic fun. So slip on your dancing shoes, pack up the kids, and come take a fabulous musical voyage back in time on Friday, June 19.
Free to the public, and geared toward area locals, global visitors, the young and young-at-heart, guests are encouraged to don flip-flops and set up a beach chairs in the sand to take in the ocean breezes and spectacular sights and sounds. Complimentary beach blankets and an information kiosk on nearby restaurants, live music venues and attractions will be onsite as well.
