Family Day and Closing Reception for Healing Waters – The Photography of JohnBob Carlos
JohnBob Carlos is a native Floridian and photographer capturing images of Florida’s wildlife, landscapes, cultures, and waterways. It is his way of creating a voice for Florida’s nature and preserving Florida’s culture. Canvasing the depth of Florida’s natural terrain, he has been able to capture and document the beauty of such landscapes in a compelling and visually stunning format.
The exhibit is titled “Healing Waters” because of the desire to move people to want to find healing for themselves, our water, the Everglades, and Florida’s nature. Healing is the ability to react to the damages within ourselves and around us, and respond in a manner to correct the present state of being. It is the search to find this balance, restoring it, and extending this to everything around us. My hope with this exhibit is that you find an image that will inspire healing in your life, and perhaps be extended to the Everglades, and throughout Florida’s nature. May these images serve as a reminder of the natural beauty that is here now and can be saved for future generations.
