On April 27 and 28 2024, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm each day, participants will gather at The Art and Cultural Center of Hollywood, 1650 Harrison Street, Hollywood, Florida, 33020 FL for a weekend of stop-motion animation! Industry professionals from Space Bass Films will lead participants through the process of creating animation in different ways from clay to paper cut-outs, to animation of people themselves. It is free for young people grades 4 and above. Parents and guardians may participate, but all adults must be accompanied by a registered student. Tickets are offered on a first come first served basis and limited to the first 24 registrants. Animation stations will be set up in a dedicated area of the studio allowing for various kinds of animation to take place based around a theme of what people love about South Florida\\\'s Atlantic coast. Together we will create an animated public service announcement in appreciation of the place we call home. Time each session will be split between fabricating what will be needed to animate scenes and animating scenes using the elements we have fabricated! Participants will receive a link to the finished PSA after editing.

Participants may bring their own devices to create animation they can take home with them as well as to contribute to the finished film. Adult facilitators will be on hand to guide participants throughout each session.
