The purpose of this classification is to work with staff and the community as an advocate for artsand culture and implementation of the County’s Arts and Culture Strategic Plan.

Reporting directly to a Deputy County Manager, the Arts & Culture Manager will deepen the Tourism Division’s and other County divisions existing partnerships and pioneer new enterprises, collaborating with community groups, nonprofits, schools, private industry, foundations and cultural organizations across the county, region and nationally.
The Arts & Culture Manager will be charged with substantively increasing access to and improving arts programming and services, proactively striving to create opportunities for the County. A transformational leader, the Manager will offer creative ideas to adapt, strengthen, and when appropriate, diversify the County’s programs and partnerships to address the changing needs of the community.
