The Fort Lauderdale Historical Society invites artists for its premier juried one-day event. The First Annual New River Art Show, on Sunday January 19, 2020 will kick off Fort Lauderdale’s Art and Design Week. The show will be held on the beautiful waterfront grounds of the New River Inn History Museum in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale. This is a juried show, inviting all regional South Florida fine artists. The Jurors are Bonnie Clearwater, the Director and Chief Curator of Nova Southeastern University, Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale and Professor James Lansing, Head of the Ceramic Department at Broward College, where he teaches 2D and 3D courses, as well as Art History. Eligible media: oil, acrylic, glass, graphics, printmaking, drawing, watercolor, collage, pastels, photography, digital art, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, wood and jewelry. The application deadline and fee of $25 is due by November 30, 2019 and the notifications of acceptance into the show will be sent by December 16, 2019.
