People visit the library for all kinds of reasons. They may go to check out the latest best seller, use the computer lab to apply for food stamps, or even get sworn in as U.S. citizens. With so many reasons to go to the library, you end up seeing a lot of different faces. And now you can see many of them in the windows of the Broward County Main Library. This piece of Broward 100’s Inside Out Project is called “A Place for All Reasons,” which has been the library’s theme for more than 30 years.

“We are one of the few places that has done the images inside out, because they are hanging inside–looking out,” Adult Program Manager Barbara Miller said. “So we really took the theme to heart.”

As you stand in front of the photos of the young and old, male and female, you realize each image reflects back on your own. The light and glass creates the reflection and reminds us that even though everyone is there for different reasons, we are all searching for answers within ourselves.
