Born and raised in Spain, Florencia is the daughter of an American mother and a French/Italian father. Ever since a young age, she has loved creating and making things with her hands…she painted her first oil painting at age 5 on one of her many visits to an artist family friend who lived up the hill.

Her first, and practically only formal training, was in watercolor painting and a bit of charcoal drawing at age 11. After that, she took a semester of drawing and a semester of painting at university as elective classes. Apart from this very basic training, she is self taught and continually explores and learns through trial and error.

Florencia has been involved in interior design for the past 14 years, and has lived in Florida for nearly as long. She combines her love of the classic masters with contemporary design flair. At the heart of her work is the desire to portray strong, confident women. She does so by up-cycling and repurposing materials that would otherwise be disposed of such as discontinued fabric and paper samples. Florencia is a professional makeup artist as well, and uses her knowledge in art and makeup artistry interchangeably to create realistic portrait-like paintings. She has produced murals in the US as well as in Europe as well as paintings on canvases of all sizes. She has pursued painting as a full time job since 2015.
