E KAABO O (WELCOME) Honoring our roots, Osundara Yoruba Dance Theater preserves the sacred Yoruba traditional folklore and customs. Our mission is to connect diverse communities that are culturally unique, yet similar in heritage, by stimulating an interest in the exciting traditions of Yoruba culture through dance, music, storytelling, and the arts; creating the opportunity for children and adults to increase their knowledge and awareness of West African customs and ethnic groups. OUR OBJECTIVE Our objective is to preserve Yoruba customs and tradition by: Teaching Yoruba music, dance, art and traditional values to youths and adults of all ages. Educating the community through symposium and seminar. Showcasing Traditional Yoruba arts in the classroom, community and cooperate arena. COMPANY OVERVIEW For more than 5years, Osundara has been the Yoruba cultural ambassador in the USA, Ghana and Nigeria, Founded in 2007 by High Chief (Otunba) Nathaniel B. Styles Jr. basically to be a provider and facilitator connecting with the Yoruba sons and daughters of omo oduduwa across the globe in countries such as: Cuba, Puerto-Rico, Brazil, Venezuela, Haiti, Jamaica and USA.
