Nancy Knutson is a fine art photographer who creates images that present an essence of place. The images capture a fundamental reality that the viewer may interpret in their own imagination. She found photography after many years as a poet and writer. She earned an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College and received a MacDowell Colony Fellowship. Her poetry and short stores have appeared in literary magazines. Nancy brings the same passion to her photography. Her interest in scenic design and deep curiosity about geographical and inner spaces draws her to capture images of her native Southwest, abroad, and in Florida.
