Dillard Center for the Arts Foundation Inc, also known as DART Foundation, is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our Mission is to support DCA students to reach their artistic potential, as they pursue their art in the areas of theatre, visual arts, dance, and music.

Dillard High School is a historic public Broward County school located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Established in 1907 and named for black-education advocate James H. Dillard, it was the first public school for people of African descent in Ft. Lauderdale. Dillard moved to its current location during the 1940’s where famed saxophonist Julian Cannonball Adderley became the high school band director in 1948. In the mid 1970’s a performing arts magnet program was established for all of Broward County students in the areas of dance, music, theater, and visual arts, as well as an academic schedule.

Graduates of the performing arts program go on to attend some of the top colleges and conservatory programs in the United States, including the Juilliard School of Music, Berklee College of Music, Manhattan School of Music, and Columbia University.
