Alexandra Marie is an Argentinean-American vocalist, songwriter and educator who arrived in the United States in 1990 receiving scholarships from the NWSA/ MDCC and later FIU where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music and Voice Performance from FIU in 1996. . She has appeared with Symphony Orchestras such as The Coral Spring Pops, the Hallandale Pops and sang with local Zarzuela (Spanish Operetta) companies, such as “Grateli”, “Hispanic Lyric Theater” and “Classical Concerts” as well as South America companies. She performed in New York at “The Orenzal Foundation” featuring Latin American composers, such as Ginastera, Guastavino and Villalobos.
Alexandra recorded in Buenos Aires “Esencia de Mujer”, a tribute to Latin Women in Music and History. Internationally, she has performed with South America companies. Alexandra Marie’s own version of “O Abre Alas” by Brazilian composer Chiqhuina Gonzaga was published in June 2013 as an educational compilation of songs from famous historical composers, both in Europe and South America. Alexandra was featured in the 2013 CD compilation: “TANGO in Miami “a cultural initiative by the Consulate general of the Argentine Republic in Miami.
