    Delray Beach Chorale
    Music
The Delray Beach Chorale has been performing choral music in the South Palm Beach County area since 1982. At that time, a number of Delray Beach residents, determined to organize a South Palm Beach County community chorus in order to perform choral masterpieces at the highest artistic level, established the Delray Beach Chorale. The Delray Beach Chorale attracts qualified and dedicated volunteer singers with solid musical backgrounds and draws its soloists from the wealth of talented professional singers in South Florida, and has, from its earliest years of operation, performed with an orchestra consisting mostly of principal players from the former Florida Philharmonic. The Chorale has approximately 70 members, with slight variations from concert to concert, and performs two major programs a year - winter and spring.

    Fort Lauderdale Gay Men's Chorus
    Music
The Original Ft Lauderdale Gay Men’s Chorus was the first gay performing arts organization in the State of Florida, founded April 1, 1986 by our Director, Dr Gary E Keating.  It’s original name was the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida, but was changed to the Ft Lauderdale Gay Men’s Chorus since there were also Choruses in Miami and Palm Beach. When a group of members left in 2010 and formed another Chorus, they took our old name after unsuccessfully trying to take our current name.  This caused and still causes confusion as to who is who.  We present three major concerts a year and perform at various outreach events, such as Christmas on Las Olas, the Wilton Manors Tree Lighting Ceremony, Nursing homes and Retirement Centers. Funding for this organization is provided in part by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners as recommended by the Broward Cultural Council.  We have received these Grants since 1997.
