Nerissa Street was a teacher with a problem.

“I was running a workshop that teaches small business owners how to get funding to launch and expand community impact projects,” she explains. “And I had to compete with cat memes.”

What Street contended with is an issue that many small business owners face. Marketing in the onslaught of social media content. The difference? “The workshop isn’t for some product in inventory. The people who need it will do something positive for our community. If the right audience doesn’t see this, someone will suffer.”

Enter La Guardia Cross. The viral creator had grown his online impact to 1 million subscribers and followers, and appeared on Good Morning America and the Rachael Ray show. His content, New Father Chronicles, was  based on his journey as a new Black dad. Now, his girls have grown up and he was at a crossroads with his content. Cross and Street had worked together before he launched his YouTube channel – and he credits Street for giving him the idea to launch the channel.

Nerissa had a proposal. She was also a grant writer who had created innovative programming for television, theater and film. She had over 15,000 hours of public speaking experience including a TED talk and appearances on PBS and NBC6. Why not work with La Guardia to teach a workshop to give people doing good in the world a more powerful platform?

Together, they have created a workshop titled Improve My Influence: Making a Living with Storytelling for Good.

Learn:

The three things you need to do BEFORE trying to grow your influence.

How to create your first quarter of content without getting overwhelmed

How to integrate your story to maintain authenticity without oversharing

How to increase your engagement by 50 – 75%

How to move action from online to in-person

How to get your first brand deal

How to leverage multiple streams of income, both online and in-person

How to reach audiences that can afford different price points, without sacrificing your peace of mind

How to share vital facts and information without repulsing your audience

Bonus: Resources to find your first $1,000 without the pain of writing a grant

Bonus #2: If you attend live, we’ll find at least one way that you’re leaving money on the table in the session

Bonus #3: The one practice that you can integrate that will help you manifest the right support while you’re building
