Pupae Mesh by Glowing Bulbs

Pupae Mesh, a network of cooperating light objects created by the internationally-renowned artist collective Glowing Bulbs (established 1998, Budapest, Hungary) is inspired by the metamorphosis of a caterpillar. It features giant animated cocoons that communicate with each other and viewers through sensors and programming with integrated LEDs and speakers generating pulses, movement and dynamism.

Glowing Bulbs’ video mapping and panoramic projections, live VJ performances, videos and films have been exhibited at festivals, galleries and museums throughout Europe, North America and the Middle East.

Featured Artist: Marcell Andristyak

NYX by Marcell Andristyak & Glowing Bulbs with sound design by Abel Szakacs 

NYX is an immersive interactive AV installation inviting the audience on an eerie trip in the depths of misty woodlands. The spectator’s presence sparks luminous events in the virtual space on a path flanked by a strange mixture of creatures and objects, providing an immersive experience of walking through a magical forest.

Marcell Andristyak is a media artist from Hungary whose works range from experimental films and animations to interactive installations. His films have been screened at festivals around the world, receiving several nominations and awards. He is a longtime collaborator of the Glowing Bulbs collective.

Featured Artist: MAD Labs

Colorful 3D video projections are mapped to the exterior walls of the museum’s open-air atrium space, transforming the façade into a visual playground of extra dimensions, optical illusions and movement.
