Virtual Sketchbook Habits: Visual Poetry

Participants will be drawing, writing, collaging, chatting and sometimes printing throughout the class while being guided through a series of themed prompts. The goal of this series is to offer students strategies for developing a sketchbook habit that they can maintain. Students may or may not arrive with an intention to explore a specific topic, and all experience levels are encouraged to participate.
This month, we are celebrating poetry month with prompts focused on tying together poetry and visual art. Participants may use this time as a way to develop writing and imagery for zines, artist books or just explore in their sketchbooks! We ask that each participant bring a poem to serve as inspiration – original or otherwise.
