An interactive artwork with which you can scan text from a book to create a digital self-portrait composed from the words on the page.
Join the artist collective Encoded Objects (comprised of Jonathan Rockford and Michael Hadley) for this interactive artwork that invites you to scan passages from a book to generate your own digital self-portrait comprised of the words gathered from the page. Custom software will capture the text from the book and reconfigure it on the screen to create a self-portrait of the participant. Participants then have an option to add their image to the digital portrait catalogue of the community, or

Prompts will be provided on screen guiding and informing you along every step of the process, and the artists will be onsite for questions.
