Perception is often the most vital catalyst for an artist to springboard new ideas. We build upon the work of those who came before us and use it to create something so uniquely our own. In this way, each piece in this exhibition shares something in common.

In this exhibition, we embrace and showcase the unconscious interconnectivity between artists and their work. ArtServe’s members and artists comprise a small fraction of a global network that connects us all through creation. An artist’s work and their pathway to creating it may outlast the artist themself. Mutual admiration carries those concepts and movements through decades, and reinterpretations allow for a never-ending stream of consciousness between us. Taking inspiration from one another is not only the greatest compliment among artists, but it also adds a new point in a network that has been built upon since the beginning of time.
