A short story brought to life of a Simple beggar in a shtetl in Poland.
A treasure from Yiddish literature, "Gimpel the Fool" blends klezmer music into a
surrealistic theatrical presentation. In the face of betrayal and ridicule, Gimpel's
childlike acceptance and steadfast belief in God and human goodness have inspired
audiences worldwide. The production premiered at the Edinburgh International
Theatre Festival, where it garnered 5-star reviews, and has toured Austria, Armenia,
the Czech Republic, Egypt, England, Canada, Poland, Russia, and the United States.
