This film is a continuation of the story of Carver Ranches in the beginning and the brave African American that settled there in the 1940s.
Part 1 told the back story, showed video clips of 10 pioneer families interviewed and a current glimpse of the transformation from unincorporated Broward County to the progressive City of West Park. Part 2 highlights 20 more pioneer families and their compelling stories. A long-awaited opportunity for their silent voices to be heard. The content of this film is based on the historical documentary book, Promises from the Palmetto Bus, the Genesis of Carver Ranches, FL (1940 – 1949)
