Poetry Workshop Featuring Richard Blanco and Laura McDermott Matheric

The Coral Springs Festival of the Arts Literary Event will be a Poetry Workshop featuring Richard Blanco, Poet Laureate appointed by Former President Obama, and Laura McDermott Matheric, Coconut Creek Poet Laureate. Tickets are not required but seating is limited and will be on a first come, first served basis.

The CSFoA is honored to partner with the Broward Library to bring this FREE event to our community.  Mr. Blanco and Mrs. Matheric are well known in their field and everyone should take advantage of attending. Participants in the poetry workshop will be able to submit a poem to be judged by Mr. Blanco and Mrs. Matheric. The top two winners will receive monetary awards of $250 for 1st place and $100 for 2nd place during the Festival on Sunday March 17th. 1st place will also be given the distinction of The Coral Springs Festival of the Arts Poet Laureate.
