An exhibit of Broward Artist Andrea Huffman’s textiles and mixed media artworks based on her observations of the birds of South Florida.
Through her observations and encounters with many of the species of birds that are found in South Florida , Andrea Huffman uses her art to address the human impact on our environment. Huffman uses a variety of media and techniques to illustrate the uniqueness of the various birds represented in her work. In her textile pieces she uses the meticulous process of "thread painting", which consists using the sewing machine to build dense layers of colored threads to create her images. The
