Jason Myers Solo Exhibition

Jason was born in Logansport, IN (1972) and received his B.F.A. from Kansas City Art Institute, Kansas City MO. (1998). He received his M.F.A. from American University, Washington D.C. (2000).

Recent exhibitions include Holland, Belguim, Germany, England, China, and the many cities throughout the United States. His work is housed in select collections such as Christel DeHaan personal collection; Barbra Rose collection; Citadel Investments extended collection, Watkins Gallery of Art at American University. 

“Being Present” is a exhibition of Jason Meyer’s works in which he speaks powerfully about the human condition. He shows the viewer a contained emergence of a figure trapped between psychological and physical forces. His content both questions and comments on society and the information to which we are exposed by depicting intense emotional moments drawn directly from his life .  In this exhibition, Jason explores our collective struggle to “ be present” in our own lives in the face of increasingly intense technical, political and social  change.
