Etienne Charles Blends Caribbean Sounds and Bayou Blues in Broward County for One Night Only
On Saturday, September 21st, in Broward County, Fla. a man with a soul of blues and heart of kaiso will take the stage at Miramar Cultural Center to share his unique, cultural heritage through brassy tunes (treble) combined with rootsy (base) musical forms unique to the Caribbean.

“Kaiso,” featuring Etienne Charles and Creole Soul will take you on a captivating musical journey, tapping into a myriad of styles rooted in his Afro-Caribbean background. Selections will explore the depths of the islands from calypso, reggae, rock steady, belair, kongo and rock as well as the influence of Motown and R&B music Charles listened to on his parents’ record player when he was growing up in Trinidad. The concert will morph into a carnival celebration with the audience on their feet singing and dancing.
