art = antidote to hate

The arts have an innate ability to convey social experiences, develop our thinking, share experiences, engage us in discussion and, through these, expand our understanding of the world. In essence the arts touch each of us every day of our lives. As individuals it is our responsibility to use the arts and their message to focus on the human condition and to shed light on the inequities of the world. Whether it is poverty, abuse/bulling, homelessness, human trafficking, gender and racial parity, or sustainability, we must use the arts to express ourselves, call attention to current issues and motivate individuals to promote change. This exhibit will raises awareness & engages patrons in these human issues, and bridges the gap between the life of the individual & life out in the community.
