“Afro-Diaries” identifies and embraces the stories of women, with excerpts from Caputo’s portfolio of solo and collaborative performances, which include “Spit Boxing,” “The Waiting Room,” “The Lynching Eye,” “Raw Footage,” “SOULED-OUT,” “Truths Carved from the Belly,” “Women of the Drum,” “The Proud Pilgrim”, and “Deconstruction & Deliverance.” The production is a powerful exploration of women, politics, issues of gender, race, equity and equality in society.
