Call for Writers: AfroPride
Call for Artists - DEADLINE :
AfroPride Federation of South Florida, in collaboration with Our Fund, is looking to hire playwrights and screenwriters for the ARC Project. This project is a devised playwork that addresses the social and racial issues of the LGBTQAI+, Black, and BIPOC communities. All genres are accepted: dramas, comedy, musicals, songs, monologues, etc. Writers will collaborate with actors to construct a completed devised work for full production within a 6–8-week period.
Writers accepted to the ARC Project will be compensated for each work performed. To apply for this opportunity, please submit a statement of interest and a one-page writing sample to the ARC Project Art Director, T.M. Pride, at tmpride@afroprideflorida.org. The submission deadline is Thursday, August 4, at 7PM (EST).
