Seeking proposals for new or existing works of art for the University of West Florida’s University Park Center, the Art in State Buildings Public Art program invites professional artists from around the world to apply for interior and exterior design opportunities. Budgeted at $25,000, the project calls for 2D works and weather- and theft-resistant sculptural works. Any artist working in a 2D or 3D medium may apply – but only if he or she fulfills two of the following criteria. Has the artist received awards, grants or fellowships? Has the artist completed a large-scale public commission? Has the artist taken part in major museum or gallery exhibitions? Has the artist’s artwork been included in private, public, corporate or museum collections?
To apply, submit one .pdf containing a letter of interest, two professional references, 10 to 20 digital images of relevant work and a project timeline, proposal, and budgetary breakdown to firstname.lastname@example.org.
