Susan Gott has worked in glass for thirty years, built and owns Phoenix Glass Studio in Tampa, and specializes in sculptural, architectural, cast and blown glass. Her work incorporates glass, steel, copper and stone. She holds a Master of Fine Art in Glass from Kent State University. Her work can be found in major museums, public, corporate and private collections. Gott’s public art projects are integrated into architecture, streetscapes, bas-relief glass walls, terrazzo flooring, glass curtain-wall dividers, free standing and suspended-ceiling sculpture. She has extensive experience with construction materials, fabrication techniques, building codes, and glass manufacturing techniques. Each Public Art Project is unique to itself due to the versatility of cast glass as a medium and the focus of her team to improve the functionality, safety and beauty of public spaces.
