John Pack

1949: born in Ashland, Kentucky, and spent the next 18 years traveling the world as an "army brat"; 1971: Graduated from the University of Tennessee, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts; 1975-2000: Freelancing editorial illustration for the Washington Post where I developed my own unique collage style. Public recognition then enabled me to work for many other national publications over the years; 2006-Present: Sculptor Exhibitions: –"Artomatic", May 9-June 15, 2008, Washington, DC; –"Reincarnations", July 28-September 23, 2008, Gallery Space, 1111 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC; –"Food Glorious Food IV: Changing Courses", Zenith Gallery, Washington, DC. A 2009 calendar including my work was produced for the show and sold to benefit the Capital Area Food Bank; –Interview with Explore (a multi-media division of the Annenberg Foundation) for a documentary film on "The Art and Science of Seashells", Sanibel, Florida, April 2010; –"59th Annual All Florida Juried Competition and Exhibition", Boca Raton Museum of Art, June-August 2010; –Florida International Magazine (November-December 2010 issue) "Hall of Fame" list 2010.
