Cheryl Brown

South Florida ceramic artist, Cheryl Brown is as an active resident of Fort Lauderdale’s FATVillage Arts District. She received her B.F.A and M.F.A. from the Gerrit Reitveld Academie in Amsterdam. Her work has been featured in South Florida, in her native Midwest, and in galleries and art collections throughout Europe.

The artist presents her work every month at the FATVillage Artwalk and has participated in numerous group shows including the Spectrum Miami Art, the All Florida Exhibition in West Palm Beach, the Choose954 Local Artist Showcase, and Art Fort Lauderdale.

In the last few years, she has brought her studio space from four walls to a living, working studio. The studio serves as a workplace and teaching facility focusing on basic hand building techniques, wheel throwing, surface finishing techniques, and glaze formulation. Following her life-long passion for art and education, Cheryl also produces intimate clay workshops ensuring a unique creative experience for learners of all ages.
