Man Research Theatre Inc.

Man Research Theatre Inc. hit the Miami theatre scene in August of this year on a quest to produce new works that energize and involve Miami’s local community. Their aim is to nurture new voices and foster new works for the stage, producing progressive theatre that is affordable and accessible to all. The core philosophy behind MRTC is that all of mankind (man, woman and child) shares a common bond and that exploring the nature of that bond has the power to breed empathy and goodwill amongst all. MRTC kicked things off this past August with the first installment of their staged reading series featuring COUCH PLAY, a new play by company member Theo Reyna. In September MRTC produced the second installment of their staged reading series, featuring SPELLBOUND another new play by company member Jeremiah Musgrove. In October MRTC moved into their new art gallery/theatre space (The Man Research Center at 45 NW 31st street. 33127), officially incorporated themselves as a non-profit and took their work to the streets of Wynwood during ArtWalk offering a free public preview of AN EXPERIMENT by Jeremiah Musgrove which runs November 19th and 20th at 8pm at The Man Research Center. And what does the future hold for MRTC? You can look forward to the December installment of their staged reading series and the full production of COUCH PLAY set for January of 2011.
