Vizcaya Museum and Gardens

This unique museum was built by agricultural industrialist James Deering in 1916 and features an Italian Renaissance design, ten acres of formal gardens on Biscayne Bay and a soon-to-be-restored historical village. The main house contains more than seventy rooms decorated with 16th-early 19th century furnishings and European art. Take advantage of the site's free tours to learn more about its history and former residents.
