Sri Prabha Mixed Media Artwork

Sri Prabha Mixed Media Artwork is founded Sri Prabha, a contemporary mixed media artist originally from Hyderabad, India. His works incorporate vivid colors, linear shapes, and geometric patterns on strong color fields. Intersections of art, nature, and science are revealed thru his works. His cosmos series is inspired by photographs taken by the Hubble Telescope. During his childhood, Sri was surrounded by bold vibrant colors, amazing nature, lively festivals, contemplative meditation, and wonderful aromas from the kitchen and spice markets of India, all creating memories and experiences that laid the groundwork for his art. Since his early childhood, he was always building objects and drawing came naturally to him. Taking in the energies, emotions, and thoughts and transforming them into paintings and objects was a natural state of being. Sri has shown works at The Art and Culture Center of Hollywood, The Deering Estate, Boca Raton Museum of Art, and recently activated an empty space in the Ingraham building in downtown Miami. Sri’s awards include the SESYNC artists’ residency, the Innovative Artist Award at Fraker Scott Gallery, and the Juror’s Award from Smithsonian Affiliate, Annmarie Sculpture and Arts Center. His works are in several private collections in Seattle, San Francisco, Miami, New York, Washington, DC, and Copenhagen. Sri lives in Hollywood and he explores the natural wonders of South Florida. Sri's studio and gallery is located in FATVILLAGE Arts District in Fort Lauderdale and is open weekdays and by appointment on weekends.
