The DBCRA is an independent government agency that was fully established in 2004 by the City of Dania Beach and Broward County, under Chapter 163 of the Florida Statutes. The DBCRA is charged with the responsibility of eliminating conditions of slum and blight that exist within the City and helping to improve the quality of life by revitalizing the City’s physical, economic and social resources. The CRA’s activities are designed to solve the underlying problems of slum and blighted conditions throughout the urban core and its neighborhoods through sound planning, sustainable development, redevelopment and economic development. These initiatives create a lively, vibrant, safe and walkable atmosphere for both residents and visitors.
