Buehler Planetarium and Observatory

Located on the A.Hugh Adams central campus of the Broward Community College offers a broad spectrum of planetarium events. Its erection was made possible thanks to a generous donation from the Emil Buehler Trust. With its Zeiss M 1015 projector and its modern audiovisual equipment, this is one of the most advanced planetariums in South Florida. Astronomy lovers are offered sky presentations and telescope observing at the Observatory. Hours: Wednesday Friday and Saturday 8:00pm-10:00pm Price: Free/Adults and children.

    04/14/12- 06/30/12	Earth, Moon & Sun Buehler Planetarium and Observatory Earth, Moon & Sun Presented by Buehler Planetarium and Observatory at Buehler Planetarium and Observatory April 14-June 30, 2012 An exciting new show for the first time in Full-Dome Video. Coyote has a razor-sharp wit, but he’s a little confused about what he sees in the sky. Join this amusing char¬acter (adapted from American Indian oral traditions) in a fast-paced and fun full-dome show that explores lu¬nar phases, eclipses and other puzzles. Engaging and immersive, Earth, Moon & Sun also examines how humans learn through space exploration.
    04/13/12- 06/30/12	Infinity Express Buehler Planetarium and Observatory Infinity Express Presented by Buehler Planetarium and Observatory at Buehler Planetarium and Observatory April 13-June 30, 2012 An exciting new show for the first time in Full-Dome Video. Infinity Express explores what lies beyond Planet Earth to gain an understanding of the Universe, which is slowly offering up its secrets. This immersive full-dome experience will take you to fly over the surface of Mars, watch galaxies collide, witness the Universe’s basic structure, and more.
    04/11/12- 06/27/12	Stories for a Starry Night Buehler Planetarium and Observatory Stories for a Starry Night Presented by Buehler Planetarium and Observatory at Buehler Planetarium and Observatory April 11-June 27, 2012 This hour-long live presentation uses our digital planetarium theater to educate and entertain people by presenting them with stories and information about the objects that are currently visible in our evening sky, like bright stars, planets, and constellations. As each season shares a different slice of the heavens above, visitors should come back periodically to discover all the wonders of our Florida skies.
