Quidam had its world premiere in Montreal under the Big Top in April 1996 Since that time, the production has toured on five continents and been experienced by millions of people Quidam has embarked on a new journey, performing the same captivating production, but now in arenas throughout North America The international cast features 52 world-class acrobats, musicians, singers and characters
Unlike any other Cirque du Soleil show, Quidam does not take spectators to an imaginary realm of fanciful, larger-thanlife characters Rather, it is an examination of our own world – inhabited by real people with real-life concerns
Young Zoé is bored; her parents, distant and apathetic, ignore her Her life has lost all meaning Seeking to fill the void of her existence, she slides into an imaginary world – the world of Quidam – where she meets characters who encourage her to free her soul
Quidam : a nameless passer-by, a solitary figure lingering on a street corner, a person rushing past and swallowed by the crowd It could be anyone, anybody Someone coming or going at the heart of our anonymous society A member of the crowd, one of the silent majority The one who cries out, sings and dreams within us all This is the “quidam” whom this show allows to speak This is the place that beckons—a place for dreaming and genuine relations where all quidams, by proclaiming their individuality, can finally emerge from anonymity

Everyone's favorite 1950's rock 'n' roll musical is coming to town this summer Meet Rydell High's spirited class of '59; gum chewing, hubcap stealing, hot rod loving boys with DA's and their wise-cracking girls in bobby sox and pedal pushers Together, the Rydell High kids capture the look and sound of the 1950s in this feel-good musical While hip Danny Zuko and wholesome Sandy Dumbrowski resolve the problems of their mutual attraction, the gang sings and dances its way through such nostalgic scenes as the pajama party, the prom, the burger palace, and the drive in movie Songs recall the Buddy Holly hiccups, the Little Richard yodels and the Elvis Presley wiggles that made the music of the 50s a gas Grease's eight year run made Broadway history and its recent long running revival make it one of today's most popular musicals Now, this family-friendly version is perfect for kids of all ages

Girls' Club presents Following the Line, featuring works by thirty international artists using hand-drawn line as the primary unit of expression Curated by Miami gallerist Carol Jazzar, the works in Following the Line are created in many mediums, including graphite, ink, colored pencil, layered mylar, etching, aquatint, lithography and hand-drawn animation

Manifesting the close connection to the artist’s hand and thought, drawings have historically been defined as intimate Some are smaller in scale Some are conceived as preparatory to final works in other media Drawings may commit fleeting, ephemeral concepts to paper, itself a less permanent support The persistent vitality of drawing today, developing alongside high tech digital and moving image media, will be emphasized Linear works that owe their inspiration to drawing will craft an “expanded” definition of drawing in use today

A catalog designed by Augusto Mendoza will accompany the exhibition and includes essays by curator Carol Jazzar, independent curator and writer Sue Spaid, and poetry by Denise Duhamel

A year-long schedule of artist talks, workshops and film screenings invite the public to share Girls' Club's investigation of drawing in contemporary art For details of events visit: http://girlsclubcollectionorg/events

Take to the sky as you learn the science of flight in Aviation Station The hands-on experience begins by climbing into three different replica cockpit simulators Visitors can practice their piloting skills by test “flying” the Lockheed Martin F/35 Joint Strike fighter, the newest jet fighter now being developed; the Edge 540, an aerobatic single engine aircraft used in the worldwide Red Bull Air Race; and the Vought F4U Corsair, argued to be one of the finest aircrafts of WWII These interactive simulators will immerse visitors in aviation technology and put them right in the pilot’s seat Try your hand at the Interactive Radio Control Helicopter Station as you test your skills and watch the helicopter lift off, hover, fly clockwise and counter clockwise and ultimately land on the helipad Ever see a real aircraft engine? Get up-close-and-personal with the Pratt & Whitney 985 Bushwacker rotary engine and examine its detail Next, head over to the jet engine from an F/14 Tomcat Jet Fighter and study the cutaway illustration that shows the internal workings of the engine The permanent addition has been made possible by a generous gift from The Emil Buehler Trust
MaxFlight Full Motion Simulator
Aviation Station also adds the state-of-the-art MaxFlight full motion simulator With 360 – degree pitch, roll and spin technology, visitors will be able to experience adrenaline-filled aerial races and stunt flying! Note: You must be at least 48” tall to ride the MaxFlight motion simulator
