Purim Ball 2008
March 13, 2008
Add Review/CommentThe joyous holiday of Purim commemorates events that occurred 2,600 years ago, when efforts of the Persian King's beautiful Jewish Queen Esther and her uncle Mordecai prevented a plot to kill the Jews. The Jews of Persia rejoiced at their deliverance, a custom that continues today. Since the 15th century, when Purim masquerading began in Italy, masked balls have been enjoyed by Jews throughout the world.
