If your knowledge of dance is reduced to fist pumping and shaking your money maker, fine art photographer, Nicole Kent will broaden your repertoire when her first solo exhibit, Dance With Me, debuts at 1310 Gallery on November 5, 2011. Dance With Me is an in-depth exploration of Nicole’s fascination with dance and motion as a vehicle for conveying human emotion. Her images capture the beauty of dancers as they glide across the stage, defy gravity with acrobatic stunts, or pop and lock. To reinforce the concept of movement in her work, Nicole has chosen to showcase lenticular prints, a unique printing process that gives the viewer the illusion of motion as they walk across the room. The opening and closing receptions will feature live performances by dancers from Impact Dance Company, My Bollywood Studio, and Body & Soul Dance Theatre, many of whom are featured in her work. After being inspired by three floors of new moves, Nicole invites you to join her at The Green Room for the exhibit’s after party.
