      I was in town and on a whim decided to check out the stage play Women's Minyan. Wow, what a treat! The play took me into a world (ultra orthodox faith) I knew little about. The actors were all superb but my favorite was the little girl who played the youngest daughter. She owned her part. I was still mesmerized about her performance after the play. She is no doubt a rising star! I'm not sure if tickets are still available because the show has been selling out but if you can still snag a seat--this is a play you won't want to miss. I hope they bring the production to New Jersey. I'd gladly see it again! Collapse

      The stage play Women's Minyan is a fascinating peak into the life of one ultra-orthodox woman who is forced to abandon her 12 children under horrific circumstances and finds herself on "trial" before her family members and peers. It's based on a true story by internationally known author Naomi Regan. It's being directed in South Florida by Shari Upbin, who has been credited by the playwright and distributor One Circle Productions for bringing a truly innovative and creative touch to the material. The night I saw the play Director Ubpin and the cast were given a standing ovation. Women's Minyan is outstanding. I highly recommend it! Collapse

      I saw this production of Women's Minyan at the Levis JCC West Boca Theatre Company and was blown away. The play takes us behind the scenes into a closed religious society as the women of this community struggle with some serious issues. Based on the true story of an ultra-orthodox rabbi's wife and mother of twelve, prevented from seeing her children after she leaves the community, Women's Minyan hits on themes of domestic abuse, isolation, abandonment even homosexuality. It is powerful and emotional. A must see for people who appreciate good well- directed theatre. Collapse

      I was in town and on a whim decided to check out the stage play Women's Minyan. Wow, what a treat! The play took me into a world (ultra orthodox faith) I knew little about. The actors were all superb but my favorite was the little girl who played the youngest daughter. She owned her part. I was still mesmerized about her performance after the play. She is no doubt a rising star! I'm not sure if tickets are still available because the show has been selling out but if you can still snag a seat--this is a play you won't want to miss.
