Word Up! Poetry Slam: Auditions

This spoken-word competition is open to Broward County high school students. No more than 30 poets can register to audition, and only 12 will be selected to compete in Word Up! (set for Friday, November 4, at 7:00 p.m.). In preparation for the finals, those 12 poets will participate in free workshops hosted by Ray "Knowledge" Dominguez of the Write Side Poets - featured on HBO's "Russell Simmons Presents 'Brave New Voices.'"
