Company: Screenvision, The New York Philharmonic and EMK Productions are proud to present “Stephen Sondheim’s COMPANY with the New York Philharmonic” in movie theatres across North America. The production was shot in early April as part of the Philharmonic’s spring gala. Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) leads an all-star cast which included Patti LuPone, Stephen Colbert (The Colbert Report), Jon Cryer (Two and a Half Men), Christina Hendricks (Mad Men), Craig Bierko and Martha Plimpton. Company’s plot revolves around Bobby (a single man unable to commit fully to a steady relationship, let alone marriage), the five married couples who are his best friends, and his three girlfriends. It’s a concept musical composed of short vignettes linked by a celebration for Bobby's 35th birthday.
Rejoice and Shout: Perhaps the most intense and emotional music one can ever hear is the best of African-American Gospel music. Packed with evocative photos, rare audio recordings, stirring film appearances and TV performances, REJOICE AND SHOUT covers the 200 year musical history of African-American Christianity and traces the evolution of Gospel through its many musical styles – spirituals and early hymns, four-part harmony-based quartets, the integration of blues and swing into Gospel, the emergence of Soul, and the blending of Rap and Hip Hop elements.
Mistaken Spell stars Rosemary (Wadelene Joseph-Nicola), a young detective working with the Miami Police Department. Rosemary has a knack for solving crimes involving female victims. The detective has a nosy boss who gives her a special assignment involving digging into her past. Gous (Bradley Webb), a 22 year old nerd who can’t find a girlfriend, decides to use a spell. A psychic gives him potions that he misuses and mistakingly switches the bottles.
