Tenor saxman, Houston Person and the incomparable Shelly Berg join forces for one incredible evening of jazz. Dizzy Gillespie said Houston Person, is "One of the best! He's got bull chops." Person sports a soulful sound in the tradition of Gene Ammons. As a bandleader, Person often worked with the legendary singer Etta Jones. Shelly Berg, jazz pianist and Dean of the UM Frost School of Music is considered to be one of today's top jazz pianists. Berg has several critically acclaimed recordings to his credit, has composed music for television, film and orchestra and has performed or recorded with almost everyone in the music biz.
