The Russell Hall Syndicate is a group of young musicians ahead of their time. Considered the Next Generation Jazz Stars of Tomorrow, Russell Hall has played with some of South Florida's jazz luminaries such as Ira Sullivan, Melton Mustafa, Mike Gerber, Nicole Yarling, Chuck Burgeon, Jason Hainsworth, the Gold Coast Jazz Society to name a few. Mentored by world renown jazz great John Clayton and South Florida's own Jamie Ousley, Russell Hall is considered one of the nation's next great bassists, not only in jazz but classical, fusion and experimental sounds. His most recent accomplishment was at Jazz at the Lincoln Center's Essentially Ellington competition in May of this year for Outstanding Bassist, Soloist and Performance awarded by Wynton Marsalis.
