Ballet Etudes' 2011 Summer Showcase - "Gotta Dance!" - will feature Ballet Etudes students of every age, and the graduating class of 2011. These accomplished dancers will be joined by members of Ballet Etudes Company of South Florida.

In "Forces of Nature," mystical snake charmers guard and protect the powerful Queen Aspir, who in turn commands the elements of Earth, Water, Wind, and Fire to sustain the tribal people that live in the Queen's Jungle.

"The Magical Toy Shoppe," the second part of the performance, is a fantasy ballet about an elderly Toymaker who laments the loss of his three masterpiece creations after he must sell them to keep his shop open. The night before they leave the shop, his Apprentices inspire all the dolls to come to life and dance as a tribute to the kind and generous spirit of the man who created them. In a vision, the Toymaker sees that his masterpieces will be well cared for and appreciated. The Toymaker finds peace in the knowledge that his Apprentices have been trained well and will carry on his legacy by creating new toys that will bring beauty and happiness.

The Showcase will conclude with an "All Time Favorites" section featuring memorable music from every era and genre that will have you singing along. Vibrant costuming will compliment Latin, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip-Hop and Flamenco dances!
