The Broward County Libraries Division will host local author Herman Davis, who will present a special literary program in honor of the publication of his new children's book, I Am An Eagle, on Wednesday, May 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lauderhill Mall Library, 4257 N.W. 12 St., in Lauderhill.

Children of all ages and their parents and caregivers are invited to this special event, which will feature story telling, a book signing by Herman Davis and free refreshments. I Am An Eagle is the inspiring story of a strong bird, the eagle, who extends his greatness to other birds, giving those weaker than himself assistance without judgment or criticism. Lushly illustrated by Alfonso Alberto Garcia, an artist from Plantation, I Am An Eagle uses the power of nature to teach children lessons of grace, generosity and kindness.
