Alison Krauss & Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas bring their Paper Airplane Summer Tour 2011 to the Broward Center as part of their 50 date national tour, performing brand new songs from their eagerly anticipated album released in April. With 26 Grammy® Awards, the most of any female and the third most of any recording artist in Grammy® history, and record sales in excess of 12 million, Alison Krauss' innate musical talent enables her to effortlessly fuse roots music, country, rock and pop, bridging the gap between the musical genres. At only 39, Krauss has been in the music business for quarter of a century and is a much sought after collaborator working with some of the biggest names in popular music, including James Taylor, Phish, Dolly Parton, Yo Yo Ma & Bonnie Raitt.

This emotionally charged and musically exquisite show features Jerry Douglas (Dobro, lap steel, vocals), Dan Tyminski (guitar, mandolin, lead vocal), Ron Block (banjo, guitar) and Barry Bales (bass, vocals), with Krauss on lead vocal and fiddle.
