Boca Raton resident Dennis Lambert is planning a hometown concert to kick off a national tour of his show, He Wrote THAT? Lambert wrote or produced some of pop music's biggest hits of the 70's and 80's, including "Aint No Woman (Like the One I've Got)", "We Built This City (On Rock and Roll)", "It Only Takes A Minute (to Fall in Love)", "One Tin Soldier (the theme from...Billy Jack)", "Nightshift", "Baby Come Back" and "Rhinestone Cowboy". He has been nominated for a Grammy twelve times. Dennis Lambert's comeback story will be featured in a Warner Bros. feature film, starring Steve Carell.
The concert will be at Florida Atlantic University's Kaye Auditorium on Friday, April 22 at 8 p.m. Guest artists include several of the musicians and singers that made Lambert's songs famous, including soul music giants Tavares, rock icon Mickey Thomas, the lead singer of Starship, as well as pop legend Peter Beckett, the lead singer of Player and a featured member of
the Little River Band. The concert is being produced by JM Lexus.
